Assassinate the Following... is a four piece band hailing from Windsor, Ontario Canada. Started in July 2006 by Brandon White and Drew Torok as a departure of their old band, their goal was and still is to produce the heaviest head banging, techinical, progressive metal music for your listening pleasure. They have succesfully shared the stage with many bands, published a five song EP in August 2007, and are currently promoting their first full-length Massacre of the North. The roster and sounds of Assassinate the Following... consists of Brandon White and Drew Torok on Guitar and Vocals, Josh White on Bass, and Russell Farley on Drums.

The band has a wide range of influences that combine their own sound of razor sharp progressive metal. Feeding off bands such as Protest The Hero, Between The Buried And Me, Dream Theater, The Faceless, and many more, the band has put together their own unique style of music. In August 2007 the band recorded their debut self-titled EP at Spectre Sound. Feeling accomplished and succesfull with what they managed to produce, they headed back to the studio in April 2009 to produce their first full-length Massacre of the North.

Vitalij Kuprij es un pianista, compositor ucraniano y tecladista de la banda de metal progresivo neo-clásico: Artension. Durante su trayectoria musical, Vitalij ha sido merecedor de numerosos premios y reconocimientos. Ganó el prestigiado primer lugar, siendo la persona más joven, en la All Union Chopin Competition (Competencia Global de Chopin) llevada al cabo en la República de Kazan, ex-Unión Soviética; así como también recibió la medalla de oro en la Competencia del Conservatorio de Kiev y el de Poltawa, Ucrania: Competencia Mykola Lyssenko. Además se hizo acreedor del primer premio en el concurso de dúos para violín y piano en Ginebra; también ganó la medalla de oro en Piano 80 y el Concurso Juvenil de Suiza, la Competencia de Piano de Nueva York y la Competencia de Piano de Cleveland.

Vitalij comenzó sus estudios serios de piano en la Academia de Música Mykola Lyssenko en Kiev, para estudiantes selectos y talentosos. Su maestra fue la profesora Nina Najditsch. Después de la graduación en ese gran conservatorio fue enviado a Suiza para estudiar con el vienés Rudolph Buchbinder en el renombrado Conservatorio Basel de Suiza, donde obtuvo su segundo título. En 1995 enviaron a Kuprij a los Estados Unidos por recomendación de Sir James Galway para empezar sus estudios musicales con Gary Graffman, Presidente y Director del Instituto de Música Curtis en Filadelfia.

Existe otro lado de este joven multifacético… A diferencia de muchos músicos de instrucción clásica, Vitalij Kuprij puede combinar sus evidentes influencias neo-clásicas con rock alternativo y música experimental, como la conocemos ahora. Tiene numerosos discos bajo el sello Marquee, Avalon y Yamaha. Después de llegar al número dos en las listas japonesas ha recibido diversas ofertas para girar alrededor del mundo. Ha sido visto en la escena colegial de Estados Unidos dando clínicas impresionantes, para sorpresa de los estudiantes; así como en las tiendas Tower Records de Japón, donde tiene un tremendo apoyo, situación que se nota en las encuestas y listas de popularidad.

Uno de los valores más importantes de Kuprij es tener la oportunidad de ayudar a educar a gente joven en la música. El piensa que la exposición a esta increíble forma de arte traerá belleza y felicidad a nuestra vida. Así que ofrece parte de su tiempo a esta noble causa.

Como músico de Rock, cabe destacar la participación de Vitalij en la agrupación Artension, al lado del guitarrista Roger Stafelbach, Mike Terrana en la batería, el bajista Kevin Chown y el vocalista John West y con los cuales ha logrado varios discos bastante cotizados en diferentes partes del mundo, y han sido comparados con la banda Dream Theater.

Otro magistral proyecto en el que Kuprij ha participado es la banda Ring Of Fire del vocalista Mark Boals, y con la compañía de Tony Macalpine en la guitarra, Phillip Bynoe en el bajo y Virgil Donati en la batería, logrando con esto ser reconocido en la escena metalera y progresiva del rock.

Sus trabajos como solista han sobresalido por ese espléndido trabajo de piano clásico fusionado con la guitarra neoclásica de Greg Howe en High Definition (1997); George Bellas en Extreme Measure (1998); Tony Macalpine en VK3; los mexicanos Javier Leal y Marco Ferrigno en Promised Land; la magistral participación de Michael Harris, George Bellas, Roger Stafelbach, Javier Leal, Borislav Mitic, Francessco Fareri, Jeff Kollman y Michael Romeo en el álbum Forward And Beyond (2004); y finalmente su agrupación más reciente: Revenge con la participación de John Macaluso en la batería, Randy Coven en el bajo y Michael Harris en la guitarra, con quienes ha creado dos álbumes Revenge (2005) y Glacial Inferno (2007), quizá sus trabajos más ambiciosos y complejos en el aspecto musical.
